What other researchers would never Answer 6

Land mines other Researcher would avoid always - 1

When detailing the basis on which people arrived conclusive date of Mahabharat war, every researcher would hide quite a few details under the carpet.  When ever I raised question about that all the researcher would say only one answer.. Your point is wrong but would carefully avoid discussing my question at all.

I am going to list down all these in this blog. If any of the researcher sincerely try to answer these questions I would be very happy to work with them.

I would make the other researchers in 3 groups.

1st group of researchers are straight forward. They believe the  war started on Jyeshtha Amavasya.

2nd group of researchers would claim that war started Margashirsha 12/13 th day and ended on  Margashirsha last day Shravan starred Amavasya

3rd group of researchers would add one extra month in between Margashirsha and Magha. Because Balarama's Pilgrimage no. of days don't gel well with war dates, they would add one Adhik month. Their claim would be Margashirsha or Pausha got one Adhik month,

Jyeshtha Amavasya is not mentioned directly mentioned in Mahabharata. That is through interpretation as Krishna tells

18  सप्तमाच चापि दिवसाद अमावास्या भविष्यति

      संग्रामं यॊजयेत तत्र तां हय आहुः शक्र देवतामआहवे

18   saptamāc cāpi divasād amāvāsyā bhaviṣyati

saṃgrāmaṃ yojayet tatra tāṃ hy āhuḥ śakra devatām

Seven days after, will be the day of the New-Moon. Let the battle commence then, for that day, it hath been said, is presided over by Indra.

It is the Time Period Auspicious for Indra. There are three Interpretation possible here. The Birth Star of Indra is Jyeshtha. The Birth Month of Indra is Jyeshtha. The Ritu ruled by Indra is Varsha.

The translators took it as Star Jyeshta because Kaumuda month they translated as Kartika month.

So all other interpretations has to be inline between Kartika Jyestha Amavasya and Magha 8th, Start of Uttarayana. So whatever hindering that claims they put them under the carpet and hide then from reader's eyes.

All the three research groups would hide the following Shloka in Santi Parva for their comfort. One month of Depression Period spent on the banks of river Ganges.

Source:Santi Parva,Chapter 1, Verses 1,2

1 [vaiṣampāyana]

    kṛtodakās te suhṛdaṃ sarveṣāṃ pāṇḍunandanāḥ
viduro dhṛtarāṣṭraś ca sarvāś ca bharata striyaḥ

2 tatra te sumahātmāno nyavasan kurunandanāḥ

śaucaṃ nivartayiṣyanto māsam ekaṃ bahiḥ purāt

Vaisampayana said, 'Having offered oblations, of water unto all their friends and kinsmen, the sons of Pandu, and Vidura, and Dhritarashtra, and all the Bharata ladies, continued to dwell there (on the banks of the sacred stream). The high-souled sons of Pandu desired to pass the period of mourning, which extended for a month, outside the Kuru city.

It is clearly mentioned here One full month Yudhisthira spent on the banks of River Ganges.

For 1st group Jyeshtha Amavasya war start supporters, The total arrow bed days for Bhishma is 58 days  Deducting 30 days from it leaves only 28 days.

For 2nd group Margashirsha 12th day war start supporters, The total arrow bed days for Bhishma is 48 days  Deducting 30 days from it leaves only 18 days.

For 3rd group Margashirsha Adhik month 12th day war start supporters, The total arrow bed days for Bhishma is 48 days  Deducting 30 days from it leaves only 18 days.

Why these people  hide these verses?

Source: Anusasana Parva, Chapter 153, Verse 5

5   उषित्वा शर्वरीः शरीमान पञ्चाशन नगरॊत्तमे
     समयं कौरवाग्र्यस्य सस्मार पुरुषर्षभः

5 uṣitvā śarvarīḥ śrīmān pañcāśan nagarottame
      samayaṃ kauravāgryasya sasmāra puruṣarṣabhaḥ

The blessed monarch having passed fifty nights in the capital recollected the time indicated by his grandsire as the hour of his departure from this world.

After the discourse of Dharma by Bhishma, Yudhisthira spent 50 nights in Palace as King. The Uttarayan day came.

Clearly this dismisses the Margashirsha war theory completely. So started to claim a work-around saying

Yudhistra's Palace night starts from End of war.

Please read carefully now.

For 1st group Jyeshtha Amavasya war start supporters, The palace stay could have been down to 28 only.  They can't justify these verses if they show Shanti Parva verses 1,2

For 2nd group and 3rd group supporters, The palace stay could have been down to 18 days only. They can't justify these verses if they show Santi Parva verses 1,2

So all those researchers never discuss the Shanti Parva Verses 1 and 2. They will hide it from reader's eyes.

The worst part is the Second and Third group of researchers.

As of them

Bhishma faced arrows 10 days in war.
He was on Arrow-bed for 48 days after Falling
He was on Arrow-bed for 40 days only after the war.

Now in those 40 nights Yudhisthira spent 50 nights in Palace.

So, they made their Math teachers proud by making this statement.

Einstein should feel very excited to prove the theory of time travel through this example.

After War Bhishma encountered only 40 nights.
After War Yudhisthira encountered 50 nights.

Could any one explain this?  No never.

My Math and Science teachers should feel naive.

Mahabharata - Southern Recension - Kumbakonam Edition Translated

The blessed monarch having passed five plus ten (15)  nights in the capital recollected the time indicated by his grandsire as the hour of his departure from this world.

They say After the Discourse of Dharma Yudhisthira spent 15 nights in the Palace. That makes their translation slightly agreable. But not fully.

As per them also Bhishma spent 40 days after the war on Arrow-bed. 30 days went into Depression at the Banks of river Ganges. 15 days after Dharma discourse makes total of 45 days.

More number of days should be accounted. So Kumbakonam edition also didn't considered this in their accounts.
